Cottage Ghost Story

Spooky Cottage Ghost Story

My friends family were renting a cottage as a stop-gap before buying our new house. The cottage was part of an old farm. The home itself was warm. Her husband picked this room as there was an en suite bathroom; the house being renovated in recent years. One night as they were falling asleep, she thought her husband called out to her. She answered, "Yes?" But he replied, "I didnt say anything." I just thought my ears were playing tricks, so she thought nothing further of it. A few minutes later, they heard a big crash in the en suite. they both got such a fright that they fought as to who would check it out. She finally agreed, and so turned the light on in the en suite. To her amazment, all the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles that were lined up on the side of the shower, were now somehow in the shower tray with a few of them being found in the sink (which was three foot higher than the shower tray).
There is no reasonable explanation for how the bottles ended up that way, as there was no possible way they could have moved on their own. They chose to ignore it, but days later as both of them were watching television in our room, they heard a noise outside of the window.
My friend pulled back the curtain, but nothing was there but an impression of a face that looked like someone had just been breathing on the window. Her husband ran outside to check to see if anyone was there, as this cottage is quite remote, but no one was outside. Many other things happened while they were there, such as things having been moved, doors locking without key, and names being called out without anyone of them having called them. They all were scared at one point or another, so they had to move out before their lease was up.

Ghost Legs at Hospital

Ghost Legs at Hospital

Staff and doctors told me a story while I was working at the hospital. The security camera was watching over the car park and back entrance door to the small hospital. A nurse had decided to look back on some video surveillance for an unknown reason. The security guard had been walking through the car park when suddenly his German Shepherd went crazy, barking at something in front of him that the guard couldn't see. Upon viewing the footage, the following is what was seen.

A bright orb descended from up high near some trees, and came down toward the concrete of the car park. It then proceeded toward the security guard. As it neared, it appeared to manifest as someone walking. The ghost walked up to the guard, and then, stepped to the side of him and continued on past. This is when the dog went crazy. As the entity got closer to the door, the legs could be very clearly seen, walking and then disappearing.

At the same time as the ghost on the security footage, a patient had passed away at the hospital. When the security guard saw this film it frightened him as he had witnessed his dog's behavior but never saw anything. This footage became widely known at the hospital, and all the nurses and doctors swore it was a ghost. When word reached the bigger hospital, doctors who were called in to see the footage, were all in agreeance.

When I was there, I had asked to see the clip; but I was told, not long after this happened, that the hard drive with the footage on it was under a desk in the nurses' station when someone accidentally kicked it and destroyed the hard drive (and evidence). On speaking to many witnesses who had seen it, though, I was assured that it did happen. They had seen it themselves and were convinced it was a ghost because of the strange light and the legs seen quite clearly.

Pliny's Haunted House

History of Ghosts: Pliny's Haunted House

Pliny the Younger, author, lawyer, and magistrate in Ancient Rome (61- ca. 112, A.D.) wrote of a more classically terrifying apparition in a letter to fellow Roman government official, Lucius Licinius Sura. The tale is among the first “hauntedhouse” stories ever recorded. In the story, Pliny describes a house in which the apparition of an old man, emaciated, bearded, and burdened with heavy chains plagues the inhabitants therein. Those who bought or rented the house became so frightened that they evacuated the property. Finally, a philosopher, who was identified as Athendorus, takes up residence there. Familiar with tales of the ghost, Athendorus decides to immerse himself in his writing, in the hopes of distracting himself when the ghost appears. However, the sound of the rattling chains and moaning becomes so dreadfully loud and terrifying that Athendorus can take it no longer. He follows the ghost to a spot outside the house, whereupon the figure disappears. Athendorus marks the spot with grass and leaves and in the morning orders the spot to be dug up. The excavation produced the corpse of a man wrapped in heavy chains. Athendorus promptly ordered a proper burial for the man, and his ghost was never seen in the house again. The ghost of Anne Boleyn

History of Ghosts: The Ghost of Anne Boleyn

Medieval Europe has certainly had its share of ghostly sightings, as well. England’s 16th century king, Henry VIII, sought a male heir. Having no success with previous wives, Henry married Anne Boleyn. Sadly, however, she never bore him a son, only succeeding in miscarrying a male child. As the Church did not permit divorce, King Henry sought to trump up false charges against Anne, including adultery, so as to have her executed (thereby allowing Henry the opportunity to re-marry and have a male heir to the throne of England). Henry succeeded in setting up his his wife, Anne Boleyn, and she was beheaded at the Tower of London on May 19, 1536 and subsequently buried within the Tower of London in an arrow chest. Since that fateful day, Anne Boleyn has become perhaps the most famous ghost in perhaps the most haunted location in all of Europe, the Tower of London.
It is said that, in 1817, a sentry at the Tower encountered Anne’s ghostly, headless apparition and promptly died of a heart attack. Later, in 1863, a guard at the Tower was court-martialed for having “fallen asleep on duty.” What had actually taken place, according to the guard, was that he had encountered the figure of a headless woman, wearing a “queer bonnet” steadily approaching, failing to heed his orders to halt. He then thrust his bayonet into the woman, which sent a fiery shock through him, causing him to lose consciousness. After witnesses corroborated the guard’s story, he was fully acquitted of all charges. A similar event occurred in 1933 when Anne’s headless figure walked into his bayonet, and he ran screaming into the guardsroom for help. Read about The Haunted Tower of London.

Learn about ghost

What are the ghost?
I think ghosts are the departed souls of dead people, but i do think they can use electric energy to manifest into a full body apparition.I think some ghosts walk through walls because ofresidual energy. It's not necessarily the dead person still there, but it's the memory playing out over and over.

Moreover, I'd say a 'ghost' is a conceptual apparition . An idea that exists at the edge of our minds,
which can in some circumstances be projected into a visual context. They neither exist nor don't exist, that is why they are ghosts.

I think they are a spiritual energy trapped between worlds, that haven't been laid to rest. They are still roaming around because something isn't settled with their death or their past life, or maybe they want to protect a loved one.
